The work of Ken Plummer,, on documents of life especially, has been an important influence on the white writing whiteness project. People reading this blog post may be interested in the  conference below.

You are all invited to attend the Ken Plummer Remembrance conference on June 3rd .

This special event will be held in remembrance of the life and work of the pioneering sociologist Ken Plummer. Leading scholars will give presentations about Ken’s work and its enduring influence. There will be a presentation of the British Sociological Association’s Distinguished Service to Sociology Award, which recognizes outstanding contribution to British Sociology over a long career and was given to Ken posthumously. There will also be as the launch of a special issue on Ken’s work by the journal Sexualities: Studies in Culture and Society, which he founded. This will be a hybrid event.
