The Great Cory Library Fieldtrip! Blog 3, So then…

Friday 18 July: So then, we are assembled in Warton gathering our kit, packing,Blog3 making wills (!), in my case still reading chapters for people – and contemplating tomorrow with a great sigh of relief, and just the merest sip of an early G&T. Andrea arrived at 3pm, with me in the midst of a final bout on the rowing machine. She’s presently putting up new pages on the WWW website, while Sue is packing and tidying and I’m writing this. We all have empty heads, but the two sensible thoughts in mind have been (1) to check I have the most up to date versions of our File Maker database templates (I hadn’t!), and to cruise the Cory Library catalogue for books related to the manuscript collections we’re working on (some interesting stuff on the Bowkers et al). The next blog will be from the Frankfurt to Jo’burg plane – how exciting!
