Tracing the trace

On the auspicious date of Friday 13 January, the first in a series of three conferences associated with the publication of The Archive Project: Archival Research in the Social Sciences will be held at the University of Edinburgh. This one is on the idea of ‘tracing’ the trace, the flotsam and jetsam of what remains of the ruins of the past – and it’s been booked solid from well before the closing date for registrations, which indicates something of the interest in this topic. The second conference in the series will be held at the University of East London and the third at Cambridge. More information about these will appear in future blogs. And of course train strikes, tube strikes and predicted snow blizzards will not stop us from having an excellent day on Friday!
