Housekeeping progress

Housekeeping progress

The last week has been a miserable but quite productive one. Miserable because I managed to get a bad cold with attendant sore throat, probably caught on one of the trains travelling last week to Durham; and productive because, having had my brain sucked out by aliens, I have abandoned writing and data analysis and instead done lots of housekeeping things preparatory to the launch of the Whites Writing Whiteness published website. As part of this, pages on all collections for which basic work is now completed have been written, descriptions and contact information for all archives worked in have been produced, useful links with projects of different kinds have been listed. The previous week to Durham, Emilia and I wrote a long chapter on ‘documents of life’ research and sent this off to our editors. When my head is vacated by the Martians, I hope to write an article on the complexities of one of the new letter collections worked on recently in South Africa. And in due course Emilia and I will be writing about WWW diaries. Busy times, aliens not withstanding!
